Track Your Personal Net Worth and Assets with SparkyMinis Lifestyle

Net Worth Tracker

Navigate to: Dashboard > Lifestyle > Net Worth (/dashboard/lifestyle/net-worth)

Your net worth is the single most honest number about your financial health. Unlike income (which shows what you earn) or savings (which shows what you have in a bank), net worth captures the full picture:

Net Worth = Total Assets − Total Liabilities

SparkyMinis keeps this number current, visual, and actionable.

Understanding the Overview

The Net Worth overview page shows:

  • Total Assets — Everything you own with monetary value.
  • Total Liabilities — Everything you owe.
  • Net Worth — The difference. Green = positive, red = negative (debt-heavy).
  • Month-over-Month Change — How your net worth has shifted in the last 30 days.
  • Asset vs Liability Breakdown — A visual chart showing the composition of your wealth.

Asset Types

SparkyMinis categorises assets to give you meaningful breakdowns:

  2. Select the Liability Type:

- Home Loan / Mortgage

- Car Loan

- Personal Loan

- Credit Card Outstanding

- Education Loan

- Business Loan

- Other Debt

  1. Enter:

- Name — e.g., "HDFC Home Loan – Flat 4A"

- Outstanding Balance — Current outstanding amount.

  1. Click Save.

Editing Assets and Liabilities

  1. Click on any asset or liability card.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Update the value (especially useful for market-linked investments and property valuations).
  4. Click Save. The Net Worth total recalculates immediately.
Best practice: Update investment values monthly to keep your net worth calculation accurate.

Deleting an Asset or Liability

  1. Open the asset or liability record.
  2. Click Delete.
  3. Confirm. The record is removed and Net Worth recalculates.

SIP / Recurring Investment Projections

For each investment asset, you can set up an SIP (Systematic Investment Plan) projection:

  1. Open an Investment asset.
  2. In the SIP / Recurring section, toggle it on.
  3. Enter:

- Monthly Contribution — How much you invest each month.

- Expected Annual Return (CAGR) — Your expected growth rate (e.g., 12% for equity MFs).

- Investment Horizon — Number of years.

  1. The system calculates your projected future value using compound interest.

This gives you a forward-looking view alongside your current snapshot.

Multi-Currency Assets

For foreign assets (e.g., a USD savings account, a UK pension):

  1. Set the asset's currency to the relevant foreign currency.
  2. Enter the current value in that currency.
  3. Enter the exchange rate when prompted.
  4. The Net Worth overview converts it to your Home Currency for the consolidated total.

AI Insights (if enabled)

If you have enabled AI features in Settings > Security & Privacy, the AI Insights panel beneath the Net Worth overview will surface:

  • Observations about your asset/liability ratio.
  • Suggestions on rebalancing or priority debt repayment.
  • Flagging if any asset type is under-represented.

These are suggestions only and should not replace professional financial advice.

Privacy & Sharing

Net Worth data is private by default. Even if you share your workspace with a team member:

  • Net Worth is in the Lifestyle suite, not Business.
  • Only users explicitly granted Lifestyle > Net Worth access can view it.
  • Vault Admins with full Lifestyle access can see it; regular Editors cannot unless explicitly allowed.
