Customizing SparkyMinis Themes and UI Appearance Settings
Themes & UI Customisation
Navigate to: Dashboard > Settings > General Settings (Appearance section)
SparkyMinis ships with multiple visual themes, each offering a complete colour system for both light and dark variants. The theme you pick applies across the entire Dashboard — it's purely cosmetic and doesn't affect your data.
Available Themes

| Ocean | Cool teals and soft blues. Relaxed and expansive. |
| Charcoal | Dark grays with subtle contrast. Minimalist and elegant. |
| Purple | Rich purples with jewel-tone accents. Bold and distinctive. |
| Rose | Soft pinks and warm roses. Light, friendly, and approachable. |
Changing Your Theme
- Go to Settings > Account.
- Find the Appearance section.
- Click on any theme thumbnail to preview it live.
- The interface updates instantly — no page reload needed.
- Your selection is saved automatically.
Light and Dark Mode
Each theme has both a Light and a Dark variant.
To switch between light and dark:
- In the Appearance section, toggle the Dark Mode switch.
- Or use the Moon/Sun icon in the top navigation bar for a quick toggle.
Dark Mode is recommended for:
- Working in low-light environments.
- Reducing eye strain during extended sessions.
- Providing better OLED screen efficiency.
Theme Persistence
Your theme preference is:
- Saved to your account, not just your browser.
- Synced across devices. If you change theme on your laptop, your phone session picks it up next time.
- Retained even if you log out and back in.
The Public Site Theme
The SparkyMinis public website (blog, pricing, about pages) uses a fixed theme (Sunset) that does not change with your account theme. Your theme preference only applies to your logged-in Dashboard.
Accessibility and Contrast
All themes are designed to meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast standards. If you have specific accessibility requirements:
- Modern and Charcoal themes have the highest text-to-background contrast ratios.
- Dark Mode + Midnight provides excellent contrast for vision-impaired users.
If you encounter any contrast or readability issues with a specific theme, please raise a support ticket.
